Born in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia,Canada, Arnold became an avid sport fishing enthusiast for trout and Atlantic salmon at an early age. Arnold retired in 1995 and found his "second career" to be carving fish. The culmination of years of fishing and his intimacy with the catch is shown in these works of Art sculpted of Basswood, with every detail lovingly etched from memory to depict character, life and movement. Each Carving is individual, no machined or assembly line fish here! Because each fish is hand sculpted and completely 3 dimensional each carving has a personality of its own! Carvings can be mounted on Plaques, or the wall and are also available as desk mounts on driftwood and stone bases.

Each fish is hand carved from Basswood and completely 3 dimensional. They make great gifts!, something different, that everyone else does not have!

They can be used as unique award trophies and are especially nice on the mantle, desk or wall, in fishing lodges and homes away from home. This makes a great gift to commemorate a special moment in life shared by friends or family members.
I also do custom work for the catch and release fisherman who wants a replica to celebrate the catch at a slightly higher cost. Individual Fish not mounted on the wall plaque or desk mount can be purchased with or without a special wallhangar attached which allows the three dimensional fish to hang straight out from the wall and is adjustable to any position.

Since each of Arnolds' fish are individual we try to update this site regularly so you can order on a what you see is what you get basis. If a fish has been sold we will advise you and you can choose another one or accept a similar fish.
